    Credit Union Northwest

The Driftmier Architects worked with Credit Union Northwest to turn an old boarded-up Burger King in South Seattle into a modern, efficient and visually appealing credit union facility.

When the Credit Union acquired the facility, the building was in very poor condition with extensive rot and water damage and soil susceptible to liquefaction.  The Driftmier Architects’ design worked with the existing structure, and added additional space to create a 3,200 sf facility that would address the Credit Union’s needs now and in the future.  The design created four teller stations and a greeting station.  Two offices, a board room, four member services areas and a lunch room were also included.  The facility is designed in a manner that provides more direct interaction between member and Credit Union staff and does so in a visually appealing manner.  Credit Union Northwest has since merged with Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union.
