    Wild Root Salon and Spa

The Driftmier Architects worked with Wild Root Salon and Spa in creating a relaxing upscale salon in Seattle’s Northgate Mall. The 2,000 square foot space includes a retail area displaying Aveda products available for purchase and a relaxing spa area with rooms for massage and facials. There is also a hair styling area with 12 stations.

The Driftmier Architects designed the salon to be functional for the salon staff while at the same time feeling relaxing to customers. A variety of creative techniques were used to enhance the space and make it appear larger. Techniques included a dropped acoustical "cloud" ceiling in the styling area, alcove lighting in the retail area and a glass entry that allowed for additional signage and display areas.

Creative and cost efficient materials and products were incorporated in the salon. The combination of the design and materials resulted in an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
