Cedar River Water & Sewer District

The process to develop a new headquarters facility for the Cedar River Water & Sewer District started with a needs analysis and site evaluation of numerous sites. After this exploration was completed, the District decided to extend their current site from three to ten acres and build a new administration building, vehicle storage facility, and convert the existing District office into inventory and shops.  Construction on the project started in 2003 with the enhancement and mitigation for impacts to five separate wetlands, a stream and steep slopes.

Despite the challenges posed by the site and the extensive process involved in developing a project of Cedar River’s magnitude, the final result is an efficient, secure and visually appealing facility that will meet the needs of the District now and into the future.
