GRANCO Federal Credit Union’s Moses Lake Branch has reached substantial and physical completion. The project, located at 401 East Fifth Avenue is a new ground up building in the heart on Moses Lake, WA. Designed by Driftmier Architects of Redmond, the project was built by Baker Construction of Spokane.

Beginning in summer 2015, work began with extensive site work to demolish existing paving and re-grade the 70,000 SF parcel. Sub-grade site improvements also included new utilities and an onsite storm water collection system with infiltration vaults. The new building is similar in appearance and style to GRANCO’s Ephrata Branch completed in late 2014, also designed by Driftmier Architects. The 3,600 SF branch was built in the NW corner of the parcel adjacent to Chestnut Street and Fifth Avenue.

According to DriftmierÔs Project Manager, Arnold Morrison, the finished facility provides dedicated office space, a new board room, new storage and staff work areas, and a large member lobby and transaction area. The exterior of the building was constructed with a stone wainscot, HardiePlank beveled siding and heavy wood timbers accents giving the building a “Craftsman feel.” The entrance welcomes members with a massive 20-foot storefront glazing system that brings is natural northern light to the center of the building. The project was completed with paving, new curbs, heated sidewalks, adjacent lot resurfacing, and landscaping.

GRANCO Federal Credit Union is now open and celebrated the Grand Opening for the new Moses Lake branch on May 1, 2016 with a community party.
