WaFd Bank’s Federal Way branch was relocated from its longtime home to make way for a Sound Transit light rail line. The new branch is located in a busy retail area, just blocks away from the transit center. This 2,700 SF branch has open joist ceilings and generous storefront on two sides creating a bright open area for customers and employees. The banks interiors feature a warm modern palette and showcases the local scenery on a curved glass wall mural behind the teller line. Working with WaFd’s corporate standards and color palette, Driftmier Architects provided interior design, permit drawings and oversaw construction for this new space.
